With one door slammed in its face, the Historic Review Commission will have another chance to implement sign and zoning regulations for downtown, city officials said Thursday.
"After the new zoning ordinance is adopted, the commission can develop its own guidelines," said Zimri Smith, chairman of the commission. He spoke the day after the planning board, in a workshop on the proposed zoning ordinance, vetoed the commission's suggested revisions to the sign ordinance.
