QLD:Hero hopes flood services bring closure

GATTON, Qld, Jan 10 AAP - Allan Payne had just one thought running through his mind
in the days he spent on his bulldozer clearing debris, rescuing flood survivors and recovering
bodies.
"You just can't leave people behind," he told AAP as he choked back tears.
The 49-year-old father of five attributes his actions during last summer's Queensland
floods to "human nature".
