Qld: Crowe spotted in Rockhampton, Mackay

TOWNSVILLE, April 14 AAP - Russell Crowe and Danielle Spencer popped into the northQueensland town of Mackay at the weekend during their low-budget honeymoon.
After spending Friday night at a motel in the central town of Rockhampton and eatingtakeaway chicken, the newlyweds moved north.
Toong Tong Thai Restaurant owner Noui Amarangura said today the pair headed to theMackay eatery on Saturday night about 9pm for a meal.
Mr Amarangura said Ms Spencer arrived first and ordered basil prawns, penang and sataychicken, chilli sauce and steamed rice.
Mr Crowe arrived just before the $50 meal, and the couple stayed in the restaurantfor about half an hour drinking water, he said.
"They looked tired but they were still holding hands after eating," he told AAP.
"They were very quiet - they sat down and relaxed and were very polite."
The Oscar winner and Ms Spencer were married last Monday at Crowe's Nana Glen estatenear Coffs Harbour in New South Wales.
The Courier Mail newspaper today reported they spent Friday night in Rockhampton, wherethey had lunch at a Red Rooster restaurant.
They then ate dinner at a restaurant promoting meals from $5, the newspaper said.
Mr Crowe signed three autographs for locals outside a pub and chatted briefly beforehe and Ms Spencer retreated to their Mercedes and drove off.
Resident Catherine Dowson was given Russell Crowe's autograph on the back of a freedrink voucher and tucked it into her packet of cigarettes.
"I'm a local but if I was a movie star or a singer, Rockhampton is the last place I'dcome for a honeymoon," Ms Dowson told the newspaper.
The couple reportedly told the paper they were "heading west" as they continued theirself-drive honeymoon in some of the country's most unlikely places.
The couple had been spotted in Rockhampton by media chasing the story of Natasha Ryan,who emerged last Thursday after four years in hiding.
